Azerbaijan violates ceasefire about 1000 times in past week

On May 25-31 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire about 1,000 times on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic and Azerbaijan, the press service of NKR Defense Army reported.

The frontline units of Azerbaijani troops fired over 10,000 shots at Armenian positions.

The Azerbaijani side attempted a subversive incursion on the night of May 28. The attack was repelled by the Armenian armed forces. Two Azerbaijani servicemen were killed, another one was wounded. The Karabakh side suffered one casualty: serviceman Erik Gasparyan, 19, was killed.
