Deputy Arakel Movsisyan violated ethical norms

The ethics commission of the Armenian parliament held a sitting today. The commission announced its decision concerning the incident that took place between parliamentary deputy Arakel Movsisyan nicknamed Shmays and several journalists on December 23, 2013.

By the decision, the deputy violated ethical norms by insulting the journalists.

We would remind you that journalists expressed complaints about S. Movsisyan: during the ratification of the Armenian-Russian agreements, the deputy made an offensive remark about a group of mass media representatives staging a protest. He said:” Make them go out to ….”.

Reporters Grisha Balasanyan, Anna Yeghiazaryan, Sargis Khandanyan and Hakob Karapetyan asked the ethics commission to recognize the fact of violation of ethics by Movsisyan.
