Tashir River overflows banks, flooding homes

Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) was informed at 9:42 pm on June 2 that heavy rains that lasted in Tashir from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on the same day caused the Tashir River to overflow its banks, according to the press service of MES.

The river overflowed, flooding yards and basements of nearby homes. Damage was done to numerous homes, structures, barns and garages. The regional administration set up a commission to assess the damage done by flooding.
