Sargsyan: PAA establishment is unique step in governing the state
The Public Administration Academy of Armenia (PAA) has followed a 20-year path along with the state, becoming an essential link in the training of public administration specialists, the Chief of the Armenian Presidential Staff Vigen Sargsyan said today during the ceremony to mark the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Public Administration Academy.
In his words, PAA graduates work in the Armenian Presidential Staff, the National Assembly, the government and other state bodies of Armenia.
“The graduates of the Academy change the work atmosphere, which is evident and praiseworthy. The establishment of PAA was an important and unique step in governing the state,” V. Sargsyan stated.
According to him, it is no accident that the Public Administration Academy is under the patronage and supervision of the Presidential Staff.
“Years will pass and the next generations will look back and see that the foundation of the Public Administration Academy in 1994 was a crazy idea. Yet it should be noted that the creation of such a structure in 1994 was an important decision,” V. Sargsyan noted.
During the festive event, the presentation of a book dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Academy took place and a film about the PAA activities was demonstrated.
On the occasion of the 20 anniversary, by the decree of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, two teachers of PAA – Vilik Yeghiazaryan and Mariam Margaryan were awarded the Movses Khorenatsi Medal for their long and fruitful work. Several other teachers received PAA diplomas.
