Galust Sahakyan: No need to answer first president with epithets

“There is no need to answer the first Armenian president with epithets. It does no honor to our political life. It was a viewpoint, which was expressed by the first president and which is unacceptable to us, but we do not want to respond with unfounded and harsh words,” the parliamentary speaker Galust Sahakyan said when commenting on the first Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s article about implementation of constitutional reforms.

G. Sahakyan said Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s statement to the effect that the incumbent president should resign is inappropriate.

“After a while people start to think that everything is forgotten without being recorded and there are no people who can answer that viewpoint with the same language as was used by the first president,” G. Sahakyan noted.
