Man opens fire on policemen outside Yerevan court

Shortly before the court hearing of the Shant Harutyunyan case today, one of his supporters staging a protest climbed on the roof of a car parked outside the courthouse and opened fire on policemen.

The gunman was Hayk Byureghyan who was taken to a police station, the Armenian police said.

Five policemen were injured in the shooting. They received medical aid.
