Consumer should not pay for poor management of companies

The process of company management should be studied, while the consumer should not pay for poor management, the member of Orinats Yerkir (OEK) parliamentary faction Hovhannes Margaryan told reporters today when speaking about the upcoming rise in electricity tariffs from August 1.

He proposed that the parliamentary commission examining the natural gas issue should also examine the electricity price rise and apply to court.

“They say that the price rise is necessary, otherwise the company’s profit will drop from 14% to 4%. But why should the consumer pay for that? Everything should be substantiated,” the deputy said.

He also underlined the need to examine the use of credit resources.
