Car crashes into gas pipe in Ararat province

Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) received information last evening about a road accident in Arevshat village of Ararat province: a car crashed into the gas pipeline, as a result of which fire broke out.

Two rescue teams were sent to the scene, MES said.

It was found that under still unclear circumstances a Mercedes left the road and crashed into the gas pipeline of the village. Two people, both age 20, received burns in the fire. They were taken to the Artashat medical center where they were given medical aid and released later.

The fire was extinguished at 11:35 pm. The car was completely destroyed.
