New Armenian government will do its best to strengthen Artsakh
At the end of the first day of his visit to Artsakh, Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan summarized the results of the meetings and discussions and answered the questions of reporters. In particular, he spoke about the development prospects of Nagorno Karabakh and presented the agreements reached.
‘We will implement all the agreements on the terms and programs, and these meetings are visits are important in this sense. I highly appreciate work done by the Artsakh government: there was two-digit economic growth which enables to develop the economy, raise salaries, and solve social and security problems.
The new government of Armenia set itself the goal of strengthening the cooperation so that we will have a powerful Artsakh in terms of security and economic development,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
Speaking about joint programs in agriculture, the Armenian prime minister said: “Our ministries of agriculture have numerous programs and the Armenian government is ready to assist the Artsakh government with efficient use of land resources. We should also develop agriculture in Armenia as approximately 30% of our lands are not used”.
The prime minister gave instructions to Armenian Minister of Agriculture Sergo Karapetyan with the aim of promoting agricultural links. He stressed that all the agreements and programs should be in line with the existing capacities. He gave his assurances that they will be implemented as far as possible. ‘The new government of Armenia will do its best to strengthen Artsakh in all the spheres. It should be a priority to us,” Hovik Abrahamyan said.
