‘AntiArmenia’ hackers attack websites of Armenian regional administrations
'AntiArmenia’ Azerbaijani hacker group launched a second attack on the websites of Armenian regional administrations today, information security expert Samvel Martirosyan wrote on his blog.
“During the previous attack on May 12, hackers installed secret mechanisms allowing them to gain access to resources, but these levers have been removed by now,” Martirosyan noted.
According to the expert, in May the hackers managed to get information about the spider search system developed by a third party.
“The same system was used for the websites president.am and mfa.am under control of Armenia’s National Security System. The hackers hacked and changed the third party’s search system, which was not kept under control yet,” the expert explained, noting that as a result, Azerbaijani images and offensive statements appeared in the search systems of the official websites of the Armenian president and the foreign ministry.
“In fact, those websites were not hacked, but images were uploaded to them from outside,” Martirosyan wrote.
It should be noted that the official websites of Armenian regional administrations came under a hacker attack today. The websites of Lori, Kotayk, Shirak, Syunik and other regional administrations were disabled, with the phrase “Hacked for June 26 – Anti Armenia” posted on them.
