Turkey’s policy not to change even if Ban Ki-moon becomes president
“Even if Ban Ki-moon is elected Turkish president, the policy of that country on Armenia will not change,” Ruben Melkonyan, a Turkologist, said at a press conference today.
“The ideology in Turkey should change. All surveys show that the current Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan will be elected president in the elections in August,” he noted.
According to R. Melkonyan, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu is a theorist, rather than a politician – and not a very good one.“The theories advanced by him mostly meet with failure, for example, the theory of zero problems with neighbors,” the Turkologist said.
