Passenger traffic at Zvartnots Airport grows 43% this year

More than 25% growth in the number of air passengers and flights was reported in the first six months of 2014 due to the open sky policy launched by the Armenian government.

Passenger traffic at Zvartnots Airport of Yerevan increased by 43% in June 2014 compared with June 2013 - 208, 408 passengers used services of Zvartnots International Airport in June 2014 as compared to 145,339 passengers in the same month of last year, according to Armenia International Airports CJSC.

The number of flights increased by 42%: 1,995 flights were operated in June 2014 compared to 1,405 flights in June 2013.

27 airlines operated scheduled flights to Zvartnots Airport in June 2013. Now their number has reached 33.
