ENA: Power cuts in Third and Fourth Villages were scheduled ones
The press reported that in the past ten days, there have constantly been power outages for 4-10 hours in many outskirts of Yerevan, particularly in 4th and 3rd Villages and Haghtanak neighborhood.
Residents of these neighborhoods told the correspondent of Aysor.am about outages in Haghtanak neighborhood June 27 and on the afternoon of July 1.
“We had no power supply for 3-4 hours today. Our neighbor celebrated his birthday so they had to use a battery-powered lamp so that people could see each other,” a resident said, adding that there were outages in neighboring areas as well.
The spokeswoman for Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) Company Natalia Sarajanyan told Aysor.am that the outages were mainly scheduled ones, while the population was notified of them in advance.
“There were 12 outages in Haghtanak in June and July, including two scheduled ones – on June 27 and July 1,” she said, noting that repairs were carried during the outages.
“The remaining outages were due to strong winds that caused problems in substations,” ENA spokeswoman said.
