Education and science minister responds to Raffi Hovannisian

I cannot help commenting on Raffi Hovannisian’s statement. I knew all along Raffi’s ‘love’ for and attention to Ministry of Education and Science and me. The opinion he expressed today is a manifestation of that attitude,” Armenian Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“I hope that the next time Raffi will recall the ministry at a more appropriate moment and he will seek other arguments to underline his loyalty to the four non-government factions and to distance himself from the authorities,” the minister noted.

During a meeting with reporters today, the leader of Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisian condemned the attempt made by an agent of Armenia’s National Security Service (NSS) to recruit Heritage Party member and journalist Hrayr Manukyan.

According to Raffi Hovannisian, “the education and science minister’s advisor was the messenger of the NSS agent”.
