Car falls into gorge at Kapan-Kajaran motorway

Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia (MES) received an emergency call around 10:45 pm yesterday about a car accident on Kapan-Kajaran motorway. A car left the road and fell into a gorge, MES said.

A rescue team of the ministry was sent to the scene.

Under still unclear circumstances a VAZ car fell into a gorge at 12th kilometer of the motorway. The car’s 20-year-old passenger was hospitalized before the arrival of rescuers. Rescuers freed the driver from the car. He was also taken to Kapan city hospital and is in serious condition now. Doctor said the passenger’s condition is satisfactory.
