Armenia attaches importance to development of cooperation with Canada
Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received today a delegation led by Jason Kenny, Canadian Minister of Employment, Social Development and Multiculturalism, member of the Canadian House of Commons, the press office of the government reported.
“We attach importance to the development of political and economic cooperation with Canada. I am sure that visits at such a level will strengthen relations between our countries and peoples. Armenia was the first regional country to open an embassy in Ottawa, considering it important to promote bilateral ties,” Hovik Abrahamyan said when welcoming the guests.
He thanked Jason Kenny for his great personal contribution to the recognition of the Armenian Genocide and invited him to attend the 2015 events to mark the 100th anniversary of the Genocide.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged opinions on prospects of Armenia’s participation in integration processes, the geopolitical situation in the region, and international developments.
