Azerbaijan fires 16,500 shots in past week

On July 27-August 2, the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire about 1,500 times on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan, according to the press service of NKR Defense Army.

Azerbaijan fired over 16,500 shots in the direction of Armenian positions, NKR Defense Army said.

Besides, over the past week special mission units of Azerbaijan attempted sabotage-reconnaissance raids in various directions.

All the attempts of the enemy were foiled. Azerbaijani troops were repelled, suffering losses and leaving behind weapons.
