Azerbaijan fired over 11 thousand shots at Armenian positions in a day

On the night of August 3-4, Azerbaijan repeatedly violated the ceasefire on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and on the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

“The enemy mainly used firearms, including large caliber ones. According to latest information received from Armenian armed forces and Defense Army of the NKR, on August 3 and 4, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire 859 times, including 830 violations at the Karabakh section. 11,495 shots were fired from firearms of various calibers in the direction of Armenian posts,” Defense Ministry said in a statement.

The Armenian side returned the fire 29 times, including 12 times at the Karabakh section, according to the statement.

“The Armenian side fired 3,616 shots in the direction of Azerbaijan,” Defense Ministry said.
