Azerbaijan violates ceasefire 45 times on border with Armenia

In the past 24 hours Azerbaijan violated 45 times the ceasefire on the border with Armenia.

According to the press service of Armenian Defense Ministry, guns of various calibers were used at different sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.

“Large caliber guns were also used. According to latest information, Azerbaijani troops fired over 600 shots at Armenian positions on August 4-5. The Armenian side returned the fire 11 times, with 211 shots being fired,” Defense Ministry said.

The Armenian side suffered no casualties.

“Armenian troops observe the ceasefire and resort to retaliatory measures only in case of the enemy’s aimed fire,” Armenian Defense Ministry said.
