Russian ambassador offers condolences to families of killed soldiers

 Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan and Russian Ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin discussed today the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and the Line of Contact between the armed forces of Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan.

Ohanyan and Volynkin expressed concern over the escalation of tension on the border and discussed ways to stabilize the situation, Defense Ministry said.

The sides underlined the necessity to continue efforts towards a peaceful negotiated settlement within the OSCE Minsk Group framework. The Russian ambassador conveyed his condolences to the families of the servicemen killed in the recent incidents.
