Ambassadors of Russia, US and France hope for effective meeting in Sochi
Ambassadors of Russia and the U.S. to Armenia, Ivan Volynkin and John Heffern, and French Charge D’Affaires in Armenia Isabel Ginel called on Armenia and Azerbaijan to show restraint and defuse tension in the Karabakh conflict zone.
The ambassadors of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair states (Russia, U.S, and France) issued a joint statement saying that the representatives of the three embassies met today with Chief of Armenian Presidential Administration Vigen Sargsyan.
“The ambassadors expressed their condolences to the families of the servicemen who died in recent days on the Line of Contact of Karabakh and the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The Presidential Administration Chief Vigen Sargsyan presented information about the current situation to the diplomats. The ambassadors of the OSCE MG co-chair states called on the sides to show restraint, defuse tension and strictly observe the ceasefire and also expressed hope that the upcoming meeting in Sochi will contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict, “ the joint statement of three ambassadors reads.
