Sochi meeting was important – MP

The Sochi meeting was very important, especially because Azerbaijan’s President stressed the importance of a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, member of Prosperous Armenia Party parliamentary faction Stepan Margaryan told a press conference on Monday.

The tensions will gradually decrease following the meeting, according to Margaryan.

In the MP’s words, it was important that “the Russian President managed to extort the words ‘peaceful settlement’ from Aliyev.”

Regarding Armenia’s entry into the Eurasian Economic Union, Mr Margaryan said that it is not clear yet what obligations Armenia will have as a member of EaEU, which raises concern.
