Syunik governor Vahe Hakobyan relieved of his post

The Governor of Armenia’s Synik province Vahe Hakobyan has been relieved of his post in accordance with his application. The draft decision was included in the agenda of today’s session of the Armenian government, the press office of the government reported.

Deputy Prime Minister Armen Gevorgyan presented the draft decision at the government session today.

Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan said at the government session that today Vahe Hakobyan will be appointed head of the State Water Management Committee.

The head of the State Water Management Committee Andranik Andreasyan was relieved of his post a few days ago.

The decision is taken pursuant to Article 88.1 of the Constitution of Armenia and clause 1.7 of the Armenian president’s decree YP-728 of May 6, 1997.
