Karabakh cannot be obstacle to Armenia’s entry into EEU

Nagorno Karabakh cannot become an obstacle in the process of Armenia’s joining the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said at a press conference with his Austrian counterpart Sebastian Kurz in Yerevan today. э

When asked how the negotiations are progressing, Nalbandyan replied that the negotiations are underway and final results are expected soon.

“I positively assess the talks on entry into the EEU, “ E. Nalbandyan stated.

As regards the Karabakh problem, the Armenian foreign minister reminded those present that highest-level statements concerning Nagorno Karabakh were made in Armenia and Russia and that it was made clear the matter does not concern joint membership of Armenia and Karabakh in the EEU.

Speaking about further relations between Armenia and the EU, Edward Nalbandyan said that cooperation will continue in all the possible directions.
