E. Nalbandyan: NATO declaration harms negotiating process
The latest NATO summit declaration’s provision concerning resolution of the conflicts in Moldova and the South Caucasus includes wordings that express generalized selective approaches and are not in line with the proposals of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs, Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan said today at a joint press conference with Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz in Yerevan.
According to Nalbandyan, in addition to that, the provision does not correspond to the numerous statements adopted in recent years within the OSCE framework. “It harms the negotiating process, regional stability and security, also Azerbaijan’s position in the sense that in fact, Azerbaijan is getting detached from reality and its belligerent rhetoric contradicts the international community’s approach”.
This selective approach also contravenes the UN Charter and the Helsinki Final Act, the Armenian foreign minister said.
