Obscure concessions in return for uncertainty unacceptable to Armenia
By carrying out provocations on the border, Azerbaijan is trying to influence the negotiating process on the Karabakh conflict settlement, Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan said today at the meeting with the faculty and students of Armenian State University of Economics.
“The right of Nagorno Karabakh’s people to self-determination in their historic homeland is at issue. There is no alternative to it and we will do our best to ensure it,” Ohanyan said.
The defense minister stressed that mutual obligations are acceptable to Armenia, but obscure concessions in return for uncertainty are unacceptable.
‘The enemy attempted to coerce us into something by means of its acts of sabotage on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, but they failed to do it first of all thanks to bravery or our officers and soldiers. The saboteurs were not only repelled, but also some preventive actions were taken,” Seyran Ohanyan said.
