NKR president meets with Ara Abrahamyan

President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan met today with a delegation of the Union of Armenians of Russia led by the Union’s President Ara Abrahamyan, the press service of the NKR’s president said.

The interlocutors discussed implementation of programs in Artsakh.

Bako Sahakyan highly appreciated the role of the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress in strengthening the ties between the homeland and the Diaspora, in Artsakh’s development, and the preservation of the Armenian identity abroad.
Bako Sahakyan and Ara Abrahamyan also attended the opening ceremony of the new building of Stepanakert school No 6.

The president of NKR thanked Ara Abrahamyan for funding the program, calling it a good demonstration of Homeland-Diaspora cooperation.

Among those present at the ceremony were Head of Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Prime Minister of NKR Ara Harutyunyan, other officials.
