Armenian soldier wounded in Azerbaijani side’s desultory fire

Around 4:15 pm on October 13, Armenian serviceman Hovhannes Tadevosyan, 19, was wounded in the knee in a frontline position of a military unit in the south direction of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani Line of Contact after the Azerbaijani side opened desultory fire, according to the press service of the NKR Defense Army.

It was yet another incident provoked by the enemy following the unprecedented escalation of tension in July and August of this year, which was reduced thanks to resolute actions of Defense Army. So a conclusion can be made that the Azerbaijani side again embarked on the short-sighted path of intentional destabilization of the situation.

The number of ceasefire violations by Azerbaijan has increased fourfold in recent days.

The NKR Defense Ministry calls on the Azerbaijani side to refrain from escalating the situation and take steps to stabilize the situation on the Line of Contact. In case of further escalation on the frontline, the Defense Army will take all the necessary measures to silence the enemy.
