Postanjyan suggests that trio start presidential impeachment

The deputy of Heritage faction Zaruhi Postanjyan suggests that the trio of non-progovernment political forces start the process of impeachment of Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan in the parliament.

“Then Prosperous Armenia Party should state that it declares Serzh Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan criminals and it should show consistency in criminal proceedings against them. The Armenian National Congress and Heritage Party also should confirm that position,” Z. Postanjyan said.

In her words, S. Sargsyan and R. Kocharyan should return “the property obtained illegally to the state”, while the judges involved in political persecution cases should be dismissed, after which a transitional government shall be formed.

“The transitional government should work for six months at most – until early parliamentary and presidential elections are held,” Z. Postanjyan said.
