Amalyan: Digital broadcasting to start in Yerevan soon

There are plans to introduce digital broadcasting in Yerevan in late October or during the first ten days of November, Director of Television and Radio Broadcasting Network of Armenia CJSC Grigor Amalyan said today at a discussion on the transition to digital television broadcasting in Armenia.

Integration work has been completed and an aerial is being mounted to the TV tower, Amalyan said giving an assurance that they will not fall behind schedule.

In his words, it is currently possible to start adequate broadcasting in three provinces of the country. “The time of practical solutions has come,” Amalyan stated, noting that no one in Armenia will be deprived of the opportunity to receive information.
