Harutyunyan: Ter-Petrosyan unfamiliar with concept of constitutional reform

“I think that people making such statements should be able to find such provisions in the concept that may be a cause for concern. I also believe that it is time for political forces to seriously examine this document and indicate the possible omissions,” Chief of the Government Staff – Minister, member of the Commission on Constitutional Reforms David Harutyunyan told reporters when commenting on criticism of the opposition.

In his words, the concept is quite integral and deserves to be a subject of serious professional and political discussions.

Commenting on Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s words that only a stupid person can claim that the constitutional reforms stem from the people’s interests, D. Harutyunyan said that when you hear only an opinion, rather than substantive criticism, during a serious discussion, it shows the value of the assessment.

“Such accusations can be made concerning any document. Regrettably, I should say that the first president of Armenia is not only unfamiliar with the document’s content, but he also has no intention of doing it and for this reason he expressed that opinion,” D. Harutyunyan said.
