Demoyan’s book on Armenian Genocide to be sent to Turkish leaders

The presentation of the book “Armenian Genocide: Frontpage Coverage in the World Press” took place today. The book’s author is Dr. Hayk Demoyan, Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, Secretary of the State Commission on Coordination of Events dedicated to the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.

“This book is a passport of the Ottoman Empire,” Hayk Demoyan said at the presentation.

According to him, the first three addressees of this book as well as similar ones are Turkey’s president, prime minister, and foreign minister.

“We know how to deliver these books to the addressees. They should allot a place in their libraries for the books sent by the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute,” Demoyan noted.

The book contains reports of the British, Russian, French and U.S press, as well as other foerign mass media about the Armenian Genocide. A notable group of materials is composed of press reports on the Armenian Genocide that appeared on the front pages of the foreign media. The book was released in Armenian and English, with the support of Ameria Group.

“People wishing to face history have been given such an opportunity: they just need to turn these pages, especially as it is the world press, not the Armenian one. This book is an important step in our preparations ahead of the Armenian Genocide Centennial,” said Vigen Sargsyan, Chief of the Armenian President’s Staff, coordinator of events dedicated to the Genocide Centennial.

Hayk Demoyan said the Russian version of the book is already prepared, and the French version will soon be completed.
