Manukyan: Armenian people submit bid for accession to power

In Liberty Square today, the Armenian people are submitting a bid for accession to power and they start a new process in the country, the secretary of opposition ‘Armenian National Congress (HAK) parliamentary faction Aram Manukyan stated at the regular rally of three non-coalition parties held in Yerevan’s Liberty Square.

“The people will come to power and we will fulfill the people’s will. In Armenia the power belongs to the people and we are starting a new process in the country today,” Aram Manukyan declared.

Addressing not only those present, but also all the compatriots, Aram Manukyan urged everyone to join people in Liberty Square.

“About 200 thousand people have gathered here today. I appeal to everyone – students, organizations, intellectuals, scientists, and oppositionists on Facebook and Twitter who complain while staying at home – to join us. Armenia’s history is being made here. Join us so as to make the people’s wish a reality. We appeal to the Diaspora: Come here to be masters of your country,” Manukyan said.

According to him, they expect international organizations and diplomatic missions of foreign states in Armenia to provide impartial and accurate information about the new movement in Armenia.
