500 million drams to be provided for urgent heart surgeries in 2015
It is planned to provide 500 million drams for urgent heart surgeries under the 2015 state budget of Armenia, according to the press service of Armenia’s Health Ministry.
During preliminary discussions of the 2015 draft state budget, Health Minister Armen Muradyan said the program will apply to citizens not included in any group with the right to undergo free heart surgery.
The minister stressed the importance of a 36 million-dram program of sending doctors on an academic mission to study experience in leading foreign clinics.
“Under the program, it is planned to retrain cardiologists, oncologists, hematologists, and radiation medicine specialists in leading foreign clinics”.
The health minister said 12-14 specialists will be retrained thanks to that allocation.
