Samvel Martirosyan: Quality of Azerbaijani propaganda sharply worsened

The quality of Azerbaijani propaganda has sharply worsened, which is also indicated by Azerbaijanis themselves, information security expert Samvel Martirosyan told reporters today.

In his words, the heads of Azerbaijan’s propaganda sphere have been replaced since Aliyev was frightened by the circumstance that Gulenists are responsible for the sphere and they may oppose him after the example of Turkey.

“Now the youth wing of the ruling party are entrusted with management of the propaganda sphere and they returned to old, formal methods,” Martirosyan noted.

According to him, Azerbaijani propaganda is now concentrated on the trial of two Azerbaijani saboteurs in Nagorno Karabakh.
“An attempt is being made to present them as hostages. Messages in various languages with the save hostages hasgtag posted on Twitter, but the campaign is not very successful as it doesn’t go beyond the narrow bounds,” Martirosyan said.
