Haykakan Zhamanak: Armenia to get new loans of $260 million

‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily says that the Armenian parliament’s standing committee on foreign relations will hold a sitting today to discuss seven international agreements on new loans of a total of $260 million.

“The loans are related to electricity, water supply, and the service sector. Armenia’s foreign debt will amount to $4 billion 200 million in late 2014. According to some estimates, this index may reach $5 billion at the end of next year. Besides, by the 2015 budget, Armenia will receive the same amount of loans as it will repay. In other words, the country will receive new loans to repay old ones,” the paper writes.
