Haykakan Zhamanak: There is danger of social riots in Armenia

The leader of New Times Party Aram Karapetyan told ‘Haykakan Zhamanak’ daily that there is a danger of social riots in Armenia, given the developments in the world economy.

A social riot will result in systemic changes, Karapetyan said. “Systemic-political changes may take place on a social basis. The social situation may worsen so much that it will be necessary to form a new system through riots,” he said adding that the likelihood of riots will increase unless the authorities take the appropriate measures.
