The Public Services Regulatory Commission has partly satisfied a bid for an upward revision of electricity tariffs by the Electric Networks of Armenia company.

The electricity tariffs will be raised by AMD 6.93per kwh against the AMD 17 requested by the Electric Networks of Armenia company.

The Commission unanimously approved a relevant decision.

“We should perform our functions in conformity with the law. We are not a politicized body to implement political tasks and defend anyone’s political interests. Of course, it is difficult for us to discuss a revision as we are aware it is a burden on every family,” Commission Chairman Robert Nazaryan said.
