Armenian weightlifter Simon Martirosyan becomes double European champion

Simon Martirosyan of Armenia won the champion’s title in the European Weightlifting Championship in Batumi, Georgia.

In the clean and jerk exercise (a two-movement weightlifting exercise in which a weight is raised above the head following an initial lift to shoulder level) the sportsman’s total result was 427kg (192+235).
