Have you revealed murders of March 1: Soghomonyan to authorities

Armenia’s second president Robert Kocharyan is being politically persecuted, a personal vendetta is being implemented against him and this was stated yet a year ago, head of Kocharyan’s office Viktor Soghomonyan told the reporters today.

A year ago Yerevan court of general jurisdiction made a decision to arrest Kocharyan for two months, before it he was being involved as a defender in a case studied in the Special Investigation Service. Then he was charged under the article 300.1 for overthrowing constitutional order coming into agreement with other people. After it Kocharyan’s defense team, filed different petitions to free Kocharyan from custody having succeeded twice.

Today like a year ago Viktor Soghomonyan claims that the criminal case filed against the former president as well as the arrest applied against him is illegal and has no connection with the revelation of cases of murder of ten people during March 1 unrest.

“That time as well we were convinced that keeping Kocharyan in custody would seriously harm country’s, state’s reputation. Where are the guilty of March 1? Have you revealed the murders? Of course not. I have recently saw in press that the arrest of one of the police officers has no any grounds and he has no relation to the murder. Is this your revelation?” Soghomonyan asked.
