Most probable time for exploitation of Amulsar first quarter of 2021: Armenia’s PM
Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan gave an assignment to Environmental Inspection body to start checking in Amulsar to give answers to a number of questions, head of the government said in live video on Facebook.
“The inspection body must go, check and tell concrete facts. There are some provisions the checking of which is not in the authority of inspection body. The answers to such questions are to be given by Investigative Committee,” he said.
The head of the government stressed that irrespective of everything the Armenian government has an opportunity to carry out an everyday monitoring to assess the impact of works in Amulsar mine.
“In case any violation is revealed, the government has all the levers to ban the exploitation of the mine once and for all if these violations are not eradicated,” Pashinyan said.
At the same time the prime minister said that the nearest time for exploitation of Amulsar may be the fourth quarter of 2020 but the most probable time is the first quarter of 2021.
