Roads to Amulsar mine will not open, this page is closed: Jermuk resident
Resident of Jermuk, environmentalist Shirak Buniatyan said there is a tension in the community and the residents of Jermuk are offended from the prime minister’s call to open all the roads taking to the mine.
“There is a tension in the community as of the moment. The residents are very offended from the urge of the prime minister. As far as Amulsar fight is so improvised and the whole community and rational people are fighting against it a decision was made to convene a gathering in the evening today,” Buniatyan said.
“The residents of the community will discuss the issue. We respect our prime minister, accept the revolution, but we have always supported the ideology of the revolution. But this is already a personal issue. This is our birthplace, we live here, and we have the right to decide how to live,” Buniatyan said, adding that after the discussion they will state their position over the PM’s statement.
“The position is clear. We just need to discuss the further actions. Our fight has always been open. We will not open the roads. We have closed Amulsar mine industry page a year ago and no one can open it,” Buniatyan said.
