No New Year decorations in Armenia’s capital Yerevan expected this year – Municipality

This year the New Year Tree will not be placed in the Yerevan Republic Square, Yerevan mayor’s spokesperson Hakob Karapetyan told Armenpress.

“This year the New Year Tree will not be placed in the Square. The Yerevan Municipality has also made a decision not to decorate the capital for holidays,” Karapetyan said.

At the November 24 session the Council of Elders decided to direct the 100 million AMD intended for New Year events to Stepanakert for restoration works.
