PAP ready for elections with any electoral system to be adopted by political majority – deputy

Prosperous Armenia party attaches significance to the conduction of free and transparent snap parliamentary elections, deputy of the PAP faction Naira Zohrabyan told the reporters today.

As to the electoral system – proportional or rating – Zohrabyan said they will go to elections with the one the parliamentary majority will vote for and adopt.

“Prosperous Armenia has enough vote of trust and it may get the votes of its supporters in case of both electoral systems,” she said.

As to conducting elections on June 20, Zohrabyan said that Nikol Pashinyan has several times changed his viewpoint over the elections.

“He said we are going to snap elections, then he said there is no public demand of snap elections, I cannot say for sure whether anything will change tomorrow or the next day for some reasons. But at this moment we are stemming from the political “gentlemen” arrangements that snap parliamentary elections are the only legitimate constitutional resolution to the crisis created in the country,” Zohrabyan said.
