Recognition of Armenian Genocide by Washington manifestation of “carrot and stick policy” – Kremlin spokesperson

The recognition of the Armenian Genocide by Washington is the manifestation of “carrot and stick policy” and not a real compassion toward people of Armenia, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov said.

“I believe that to a greater extent the recognition of the Genocide by Washington is more a part of beloved game to carrot and stick. It is not a compassion to the Armenian people, it is not the wish to deeply understand the history of the Ottoman Empire and the history of Armenia,” Peskov said.
