If they are good managers, they are obliged to implement this proposal – Meloyan

If citizens demonstrate their authority, the competent bodies must understand that they are not dealing with individual owners whose rights can be ignored, but with an entire population – the very source of state power. This was said by Gohar Meloyan, a member of the “Our Way” movement, commenting on the signature campaign aimed at reducing electricity prices.

Meloyan noted that the government’s position is difficult to understand: if the authorities believe their management of the Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) is effective, then lowering electricity prices should not be a problem.

“If they are good managers, they are obliged to implement this proposal,” she stated.

Artur Mikayelyan, a member of the movement’s coordinating council, added that ensuring the full transparency of this process is of utmost importance to them.
