Armenian PM and Vernon Coaker discuss TRIPP and “Crossroads of Peace” projects
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a delegation led by Vernon Coaker, the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Defence.
The Prime Minister welcomed the delegation’s visit and highlighted the recent active dialogue and growing cooperation between Armenia and the United Kingdom. Pashinyan noted that a broad bilateral agenda has taken shape, encompassing a range of sectors.
Coaker thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and stressed that elevating relations with Armenia to a strategic partnership will give new momentum to multi-sectoral cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives.
Both sides underscored the importance of expanding collaboration, including in military education and cybersecurity.
Nikol Pashinyan and Vernon Coaker also touched upon issues of regional importance. Coaker reaffirmed the United Kingdom’s support for strengthening the peace already established between Armenia and Azerbaijan, expressing confidence that this would contribute to stability and foster regional cooperation.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the TRIPP initiative and the “Crossroads of Peace” project. Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armenian Government is committed to unblocking regional communication channels in line with the principles outlined in the Washington Declaration of August 8, and is seeking to attract international investment to support this process.
