We are entering a new phase of the struggle and stand ready for peaceful negotiations: Ashot Danielyan

The forcible occupation of the territory of the Republic of Artsakh by Azerbaijan does not in any way signify the end of Artsakh’s statehood, Acting President of the Republic of Artsakh Ashot Danielyan stated during hearings titled “Return to Artsakh: Challenges and Problems.”

“The struggle for our statehood and rights continues, and it reaffirms that there is no alternative to return,” Danielyan said.

He stressed that the Armenian authorities are attempting to consign Artsakh to oblivion, effectively giving a green light to Azerbaijan’s policies and depriving the Armenian side of engagement with the only international body mandated to address the conflict – the OSCE Minsk Group.

“Nevertheless, we will not forget Artsakh. We must counter this approach. The core of our efforts will remain the restoration of our rights and the safe return of our people, to ensure that such a catastrophe never happens again,” he emphasized.

Danielyan noted that the hearings mark the beginning of a new phase of the struggle. “Today, we are prepared to address the issues through peaceful negotiations, grounded in the norms of international law,” he said.
