Nikol fires two shots at the state – Abrahamyan

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is not so much attacking the Armenian Apostolic Church as he is undermining intra-societal relations, wrote National Assembly deputy Tigran Abrahamyan.

“While, in terms of intensity, the full arsenal is directed at the Mother See, the Church’s natural immunity and its high level of public trust somewhat limit the immediate danger of these attacks.
The situation is entirely different when it comes to internal public relations. Pashinyan dealt a serious blow to the country as early as 2018, poisoning the public atmosphere and injecting a substantial dose of hostility.

Over the past seven to eight years, this process has continued in varying degrees. Today, within the framework of the hostile campaign against the Mother See, the authorities are sharply increasing the volume of hostility and hatred being directed at society.

The facts clearly demonstrate that Nikol is firing two shots at the state: one at the Mother See and another at various segments of society, including his own supporters. Taken together, these actions pose a serious challenge to the state’s resilience.”
