The MFA does not rule out a possible visit by J.D. Vance to Armenia

Media outlets reported today that the beginning of 2026 may be particularly active for Armenia in terms of the implementation of U.S. policy. According to expert circles, U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance could visit Armenia in February.

The reports also suggest that a groundbreaking ceremony for the “TRIPP” project is expected to take place in Meghri, which may be linked to a potential visit by senior U.S. leadership.

Aysor.am contacted the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia for clarification, asking whether there is any confirmation of J.D. Vance’s possible visit to Armenia. In response, the Ministry’s press service stated: “Information about planned high-level visits to Armenia is announced in a timely and appropriate manner.”
